Hi, I’m Emily Turin .. Learning yoga has helped me heal a Chronic Pain issue that was truly hindering me from living a fulfilling life, both physically and mentally .. Adding a daily mediation practice to my life has helped me recognize self-sabotaging patterns, pains and hurts that I have been holding onto ( emotionally and physically) , and has shown me that within stillness, I can bring awareness and healing to my own life ...
At one point, I feared I may never walk again due to the pain my body was in ...using a combination of Stretching, Massage, Myofascial Release Therapy, Meditation and the practice and philosophy of Yoga , I now have minimum pain . I hike and dance and work and move just as I did before ... i rarely even have to take Advil anymore , something I used regularly since highschool. I decided to teach Yoga because I want to help others learn these self-healing , alternative ways of releasing themselves from pain.I see so many people in pain ,turning to a life ruled by doctor visits, addicted to prescription drugs and narcotics, opting for surgery .. ending up on disability and stuck in the system ....Pain does not have to lead to this life ... Learning the philosophy of Yoga and the science of the chakra energy system has taught me that most disease in the body is truly emotional dis-ease of mind and imbalance of energy . Through practice and research ,I have learned that the emotional traumas and energetic patterns we are subjected to as we grow and develop ,build up in our bodies physically causing pain and disease. This has helped me understand and track the root of my pain and to start healing it naturally from every level ... It has become an investigation for me .. I am eager to solve the pain crisis... I am eager to share these amazing ideas with others who are suffering and might benefit ...By sharing the practices of Yoga and Meditation, I hope to help ease pain in this world.
Hi I’m Suzi! I love connecting with people, motivating and empowering everyone to see their true potential and living in their own light. At age 14, my first job was as a kids sports camp counselor, then a daycare assistant, later becoming a Zumba & Zumba kids instructor. So it was only natural that this path of nurturing and empowering people soon led me to find yoga.
In early 2013 my health declined drastically and some days I could barely move. After going from doctor to doctor, I was finally diagnosed with severe endometriosis, which caused rapid and large amounts of scar tissue to grow in and around my uterus, bladder, bowels and pretty much my entire abdomen. I underwent surgery, hormone replacement therapy and many other medicinal treatments, but all to no avail, I was in debilitating pain. I decided to take matters into my own hands and yoga seemed like the perfect gentle introduction back into exercising. I instantly fell in love-so much, that I enrolled in a 6 month/200hr yoga teacher training program. Little did I know that only 3 months later I would be completely pain free and stronger than ever! I was feeling so strong in fact, that I canceled my upcoming surgery to remove all the scar tissue from my abdomen. I started advocating yoga and meditation to anyone who would listen, this was a true miracle!!!! I soon became a meditation instructor, Kundalini prenatal yoga instructor, Reiki master, anything that would lead me to gain a deeper knowledge of myself and enable me to help others to do the same. The message was clear- my true calling in life is to share with the world the benefits of yoga and mindfulness. We all have the ability to help heal ourselves, we just need to be open to the possibilty! Namaste.
